Three Octorara high school graduates represent U.S. in international physics tournament

Each year, the competition moves to a new location. McWatters has led teams of students from Octorara to competitions in Singapore, Beijing, and Warsaw.

United States Places 23rd in 37th Annual IYPT Competition

The five high-school students representing the United States: Lyla Elboubkri, Matt Macdougall, Cowan Hahn, William Shiu, and Poyraz Ozer, led by their coaches: William McWatters, Debordah Skapik, and Gregor Winkel placed 23rd in the 2024 IYPT competition.
